20 Year Old House, Renovated into a Contemporary Family Home

Originally constructed in 1980’s, this house was the home of an elderly couple until its new owners purchased the house in 2019. As the home was originally owned by just one other person, it was kept in a beautiful condition.

Although the new owners appreciated its immaculate condition it was too dated for their taste and did not work with their family dynamic. The lush garden cascaded up to an easement to the rear of the block, which in the new owners eyes, was not a good use of space, particularly when you have small children.

Once the backyard was reconfigured the owners wanted to start on the house and renovate and extend so it would work in well with their lifestyle and needs. This newly renovated and extended home, now boasts four bedrooms, a rumpus/ child’s break away area, two renovated bathrooms, a new kitchen and a spacious open plan living area which flows into the large outdoor entertaining area.

This project showcases Phoebe and Scott’s design flair and attention to detail. Both Phoebe and Scott were very involved in the designing and project management of this project, and showcases SEC Construction’s aptitude for renovations and extensions.
